Support Staff Protest Pictures

Independent schools education association SCHOOL SUPPORT STAFF WILL SEE PAY PACKET INCREASE

By NZEI.

Thousands of school support staff will see a boost in their pay packets this week after the ratification of a pay settlement reached last year.

Support staff work at the frontline of education supporting children and schools in roles such as teacher aides, administrators, librarians and sports co-ordinators. They are historically one of the lowest paid groups of workers in the country.

ISEA appreciates Support Staff Members

Today (Friday 7th August) ISEA staff marched in support of our schools' Support Staff workers. The protest march in Papatoetoe was attended by a large crowd of NZEI, Nurses Union, PSA and other staff and members as well as Labour Party MPs. The march finished at Hon. Dr. Pita Sharples office and the MP briefly addressed the crowd. Letters of support were read out amidst toots and cheers from the passing public.

Well Done to all involved.

Should ISEA have the Right to Meet you at School?

Yes absolutely!
The Government has no right to take this away
We can't meet any other way
We only meet after school anyway.
This is just another right being eroded.
It isn't always convenient.
It doesn't affect me.
We can just go to a cafe instead, its nicer.
